Now open in Medina, TX!
I typically refer customers to use a website called gun.deals. (gun dot deals). This website is essentially a Google search of almost every online retailer of firearms.
If there is something you cannot find on that website or if it is something in particular, let me know and either I should be able to order it for you or I can refer you somewhere that you can order it form.
At the checkout screen you will typically be asked where you would like to ship the firearm to (be mindful this is seperate from your billing address). All firearms whether being sold online by private individuals (such as on GunBroker) or other businesses must ship firearms to an FFL, except for in the case of an in state private sale and this must be conducted face to face.
Miller Gun Company is an FFL and that is typically referred to as a Federal Firearms License or Licensee.
During the check out process is where you will be prompted to do a few different things such as:
Selecting an FFL from a drop down or search function using a zip code or city/state. My zip code is 78055.
Filling out some information about the FFL you would like to ship your firearm to. This could include my address, email, phone number...etc.
Sometimes they won't have you fill out anyting but rather they will send you a follow up email requesting the FFL information.
Typically firearms are shipped quickly but sometimes during high order times such as elections or other matters that increase the number of people purchasing firearms, there can be delays.
Whenever I receive your order I have some paperwork to fill out on my end before I am ready to start the transfer.
If you ordered other items such as accessories or ammo, that either will ship seperately to your house but sometimes they will ship everything to me. Please let me know if I should be expecting a seperate package for you before proceeding with the transfer so you only have to make one trip.
Upon me finishing my paperwork I will give you a call to schedule a day and time to complete your transfer.
The transfer will include:
Filling out an ATF Form 4473 (please don't pre-fill this as the form changes quite frequently and I need to see you fill it out)
Me submitting informaiton from this form to the NICS background check system
Receiving an answer from NICS
This can be: PROCEED, DELAY, or DENY
If I receive a DELAY, this can be anywhere from 24 hours to a maximum of what is called the Brady Date. I will provide you with this date at that time.
If I receive a DENY. This doesn't necessarily mean you are done and that you cannot be transferred the firearm. You just cannot be transferred the firearm that day. Mistakes do happen and there are sometimes false denials. There is a process for appealing and correcting the record and if you are give the go ahead from the FBI/NICS then you should be provided a UPN/ID that I will use for that transaction and you will also use it for any future transactions with myself or another FFL.
